Sikhs believe that God has created us all, and we are all equal. All of God’s creation is called the Divine. All of God’s creations are equal. There is no distinction between man and animals or even plants. God has given us all the same amount of time to live. In Sikhism, life is seen as sacred. All living things are regarded as holy. Sikhs are taught to treat each other with respect. This is because they believe that we are all part of God’s creation. We are all equal. The Sikhs believe that everyone is born equal. Everyone is important. Everyone has a purpose. Everyone has something unique to contribute to society. This is not a judgmental religion. It teaches that every human being is equally divine. God has given each one of us a soul. This is our identity. It is who we are. Our soul is our identity. It is our true nature. It is eternal. It is not bound by the body and the material world. It is an indestructible part of us. It lives forever. It is the essence of our being. It is our true self. The body is just the vehicle that our soul uses to travel around the material world. The body and the soul are not two different parts of us. They are one unit. Our true nature is our soul. It is not physical. It is spiritual. It exists outside space and time. It is immortal. It lives on after the death of the body. The body and the soul are not two different parts of us. They are one unit. Our true nature is our soul. It is not physical.
