However, Aaron is perhaps best known for breaking Babe Ruth’s long-standing record of 714 career home runs, a feat he accomplished on April 8, 1974. Despite facing intense racism and hatred throughout his career, Aaron remained focused on his love of baseball and his determination to succeed. Today, he is remembered as one of the greatest baseball players of all time and a true legend.
