Black History Month is an important celebration in the United States of America. Black History Month is celebrated in the United States of America by people of all ages.

The purpose of this special month of recognition and commemoration is to celebrate the history of African Americans and their influence on American life, culture, society, and politics. Black History Month in the United States is usually held in February each year, but can be held any time from January to March. This year, there are many celebrations and activities to do on Black History Month and many people are looking forward to this. 

During Black History Month, schoolchildren learn about many famous black figures in history including Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Harriet Tubman, and W. E. B. Du Bois. Schoolchildren are also taught that racism was a major problem in the United States in the past. The United States of America also celebrates Black History Month by holding several events that honor black people in the United States and in the world. 

During Black History Month, many schools, universities and businesses promote awareness and celebrate the achievements of black individuals.

In the United States of America, people who are considered to be African-Americans include descendants of Africans, and people of any race who were enslaved or migrated to the United States from Africa.

In the year 2016, it was reported that African-Americans comprised 13 percent of the total population of the United States of America.

During Black History Month, people are encouraged to study the history of African-Americans. During Black History Month, people are also encouraged to learn about and understand the contribution of African-Americans to society.  

Black History Month in the United States is one of the most important celebrations in the United States of America because it honors the accomplishments of many black individuals.
